Project Description

Lingholm Café & Walled Garden, Keswick

Shaw And Jagger Architects

A tourist attraction based in the heart of the Lake District was the beginning of a run of works for the same client. Our work ethic and evident skill set proved to be just what the customer was looking for. A contemporary style café with high ceilings, open beams, roof lighting that runs through the entire structure and vast areas of glazing to the north gives a warm welcome to the walkers on their route to Catbells and Cumbrian Way.

The café overlooks the reinstated Walled Garden – that which was thought to be Beatrix Potter’s garden, which is also now a member of the Walled Garden Society. CCR felt it was a pleasure to work alongside this client, and has since been asked to and has completed several lodge conversions on the same grounds, a complete re roof to the main home and converted other properties elsewhere.
